Two pieces are difficult to bring to equal temperature at the same time, so make the repair in 3 steps.
1.
Tin the first piece.
2.
Tin the second piece.
3.
Position the two pieces together and reheat to melt temperature.

LAP JOINTS
Use the technique above and slide together while molten. HTS-2000 fillets may be built up at edges of a lap joint for additional strength and improved appearance.
